The car with one of the smallest CO2 footprints of all modern cars is ironically a sports car, the BMW i8. It represents German engineering at it's best: One system with electric and petrol drive, 362 horse power, the sprint to 100km/h in 4.4 seconds with a consumption of officially only 2.1 Liters.
